Performance of Top 5 Squad RPG Apps in Europe, Q1 2021

In the first quarter of 2021, the squad RPG genre saw varied performances across the top applications in Europe on a unified platform. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers an overview of the trends in downloads, revenue, and weekly active users for these popular games.

RAID: Shadow Legends, published by Plarium Global Ltd, showed a revenue trend that started at approximately $1.8M in the last week of December 2020 and saw a decrease to around $1.3M by the end of March 2021. Downloads began at 167K and dropped to 103K, while weekly active users decreased from 688K to 558K during the same period.

For Gacha Club by Lunime Inc., which had no reported revenue, the downloads started at around 114K and saw a peak of 124K in late March. Weekly active users showed an upward trend, growing from just over 1M to 1.4M.

Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc.'s NARUTO X BORUTO NINJA VOLTAGE saw its revenue fluctuate, with a peak of around $82K in mid-January before settling at about $32K by the end of March. The game's downloads had an increase from 53K to 77K, then a decline to 77K. Weekly active users increased from 157K to a peak of 216K before slightly declining to 209K.

Star Wars™: Galaxy of Heroes by Electronic Arts experienced a revenue decrease from $1M to $699K. Downloads saw a downward trend from 96K to 30K, and weekly active users also decreased from 1.5M to 1.3M.

Lastly, Ninja Turtles: Legends from publisher Ludia had a gentle revenue fluctuation, starting at around $9K and ending the quarter at approximately $9K. Downloads saw a peak of 70K in mid-February before dropping to 44K, while weekly active users started at 284K and decreased to 267K.
